ppl like this take but i disagree if you limit yourself to things that could fit on a survey (e.g. "do you own crypto?", "how do you feel about fusion?"), then it feels true. but thats a tiny part of your life. for bigger real-world things (where your food comes from, where your kids go to school, local politics, air/noise pollution, cost of living), you're much closer to your irl neighbors why does it feel true? cuz we've forgotten how to have quality relationships with neighbors. it's not anyone's fault -- the social tech is missing/outdated -- but its everyone's problem. imagine dan & co spent 3 focused years growing the qDAU of your block's social network. imagine you interacted with neighbors as much as you do with anons on FC. you might feel differently
