But what if we negotiate transition of civic coordination infrastructure into decentralized, capture-resistant public goods? In most cases, those negotiations happen with governments, not states. So we can make real political gains while also providing valuable civil service that makes our communities more efficient and resilient.

Have you ever tried though? Municipal tech adoption is challenging, and not without its fair share of red tape. But it's not a conversation about politics and control. Never send a politician to do a software vendor's job. You're using the wrong door.
