I wouldn't say it got defeated. Just not enough traction as it didn't pass the threshold.

I actually use @neynar dataset on @dune.eth, but enrich it with more features using my own ML models.
The good thing about having all the data in Dune is that you can combine it with other crypto datasets, and it's open and easy for anyone to re-use.

A public good that would be really useful is a public dataset of embeddings for casts. 

Assuming it's legal to do, would drastically reduce the cost of building embeddings based models on Farcaster

I use both services. Reading your proposal I wasn’t sure what your user base is. If you are currently still experimenting and figuring out what will work, not having to take out a private subscription for Dune would reduce your burn rate.
