One thing I like about Twitter is it feels like posts have a longer shelf life. Something I tweet today feels like it can simmer for a few days and still reach new people. On here I feel like the Casts are only valid for ~24 hours. Could be completely off but just a feeling I've been having lately

I have been trying to hammer home this point with regards to channels for a couple weeks now. Channels should have more diverse ways to sort feeds, a la Reddit. We almost never have multi-day in depth conversations in casts here. Algo feed for a network this size doesn’t make sense to me.

IMO Reddit is MUCH better for indepth conversation re a certain topic. If I reply to your cast, you reply to my reply, someone else piles on to your reply, no one but the 3 of us will see that reply, as it is hidden. Basically no one clicks "show more". not to mention the "sort by controversial" thing.

Agreed. Right now, it’s impossible to have those in depth conversations for any longer than like 24 hours because Algo feed doesn’t let anything stay up for that long. Unless you hand moderate and are severely restrictive with what gets by like on /warpcast and /farcaster.
