I am pretty sure I have not once bought a token that's hot on dexscrnr and made profit. /lessoninthere Found out the shitcoin I bought, which was actually doing good price wise, was transferred out of my wallet. Even if I did do revoke.cash (I tried to do it a few hrs later), it could not have saved me. The tx send was instantly after the buy. And they had the audacity to wait for me to finish the test tx with $1 (bought and sold, no problems) and did nothing with it. Honestly, I respect the hustle. But I am an idiot. Luckily it was not for too much $$.

Honey pot tokens. I describe how they work in a cast a few weeks back if you'd like more details.

Usually I've seen honeypots that don't allow you to sell (or have thresholds or whitelisted addresses). tokensniffer and geckoterminal usually have good detection systems for them. And I also always use a test tx (testing small amount of $1, for selling a part, selling all etc). But this was a "drainer" using my unlimited approval. First time I've seen it doing that. I will check your cast, thank you. Base is filled with generic honey pots. One thing though, this increases my confidence in clankers. Code prevents it from being a honey pot.

Yeah so if it's doing an approval then it likely worked like this: https://warpcast.com/rjs/0x59f8d541
