People should give feedback to channel owners that overuse announcements. Send a DC. Tag them in cast. Co-create the community you want it to be. And if they are not receptive, leave / unfollow / create a new one. Stop thinking of channels as canonical topics.

Understand the sentiment behind releasing a product and wanting to get eyes on it. Growth hacking is sometimes a must for an app to succeed. However, blasting a direct message to someone you have no previous interactions with (not even a bi-directional follow) is a sure way to get me to never try your app. We have such a builder positive group here, just casting and getting public accolades generally is more than sufficient.
