I used to listen to Ed Zitron’s podcast. He made a lot of good points but then he started to lose me. I love skepticism, and I appreciate where he’s coming from, but he overlooks and disparages some of the things I think leftists would actually benefit from if we better understood them.

I just discovered him through this cast and after reading screenshot essay from OP tweet I scrolled through his feed.

He made really good points but the amount of spite in other tweets is just overwhelming.

I think his points about the limited amount of data for training and improving models and then the synthetic data creating hallucinations were pretty spot on. It’s a good glimpse outside of the VC fueled AI echo chamber we exist in in the tech space.
