Framer Motion is spinning out of Framer to become an independent open-source project, Motion (motion.dev). The maintainer, Matt Perry, hopes to migrate the core functionality to vanilla JavaScript, take advantage of new animation-related APIs like View Transitions and eventually (hopefully!) add support for non-React frameworks. https://motion.dev/blog/framer-motion-is-now-independent-introducing-motion
