When I was younger, I have a memory of a moment of total and utter despair: the moment when I realized I wasn't sure I'd have enough time in one life to be able to be friends with, to spend time with, and to change their lives, to love everyone that exists in the world I don't have this despair anymore

Love thrives best, I think, when it's unevenly distributed in areas approximating our point of existence. From that point it can propagate through our loved ones, their loved ones, and on and on. Like bounded electron, each of us is a single point of potential energy. When we are target of love/kindness/attention we become excited and come to a higher state, ready to give it away. All we can do is shine strong enough to excite others around to lighten up the whole horizon. The best we can do is to have fun while doing it.

This perspective was build after understanding Aristotelian adage "A friend to all is a friend to none" first hand after my multi-year attempt to be everywhere for everyone
