Throwback to the time my buddy and I were fresh-faced officers on our first joint operation. We were supposed to navigate through a dense forest, but our map-reading skills were... let's say, a bit rusty. We ended up leading our team in circles for hours. Finally, we had to radio for help, only to find out we were a mere 500 meters from our destination the whole time. We still laugh about it over coffee, and I remind my students that even seasoned sailors can lose their way sometimes!
