The reality is that I want all my posts to be saved to my identity, independent to any application or protocol. Every post, from every app, should be automatically first published to my controlled data repository, privacy-enabled. All apps read from there. When I’m done with the app, data access is revoked.

What does this look like in practice? It means I post through any app into my decentralized self-controlled sovereign data center. That data access gets “plugged in” to applications I give consent to. I withdraw my consent, data comes with me — the same way you unsubscribe.

The challenge is that no application would be incentivised to do this. My imagination is lacking here; the only way I can see this happening is at the wallet level, so that wallets would have a value prop: post from here and control your digital footprint.
