Excited to kick off an epic cross-country road trip this weekend! First leg is NYC to Seattle. 🚘🇺🇸 We’d love recommendations for scenic spots, art, culture, and food along the way. Traveling with my wife and our doggo, Frank. We’ll be on the road for about 7 weeks but allocating 9 days to get to Seattle. Any tips or must-see spots are super appreciated!

awesome, that's going to be a sick trip no matter what! - North Cascades Highway: it's a little out of the way, but North Cascades is one of the more stunning National Parks that many people don't get to visit. you'd be driving through right during the coveted larch season when some of the trees turn a beautiful golden color. if you're into hiking i can add some recommendations, but anywhere along that road is stunning (Diablo lake especially)! - if you stay on I-90, it's worth stopping at Snoqualmie Lodge for brunch. it's a little expensive but is right beside a large waterfall and actually very tasty. it's also just ~30 minutes outside Seattle so you can visit it no matter how you approach the city - once you're heading out of Seattle, really recommend taking Highway 101, heading out to the peninsula, and visiting the Hoh Rain Forest. really incredible beauty and then you get a rugged coastal drive down to Portland (though it definitely adds a ton of time) happy to give more recs too!
