finished my rewatch of The Wire. at its core it's a story about the life cycle of the game. there's always going to be a new stringer, avon, omar, mcnulty, bubbles. the game (capitalism) is the game. brilliant tv series. top 3 all time.

I tried to watch this years ago, but I found it really hard to follow the dialogue as it was quite mumbly and they used a lot of acronyms. Maybe I should try again!

You should definitely try again with captions. I think the unapologetic use of lingo, slang and dialect is part of what makes it so compelling and real.

haha yeah also find myself rewinding quite a bit and putting the closed captions on to catch what they said. It can also be difficult to follow across seasons with big shifts like going from the projects in season 1 to the docks in season 2. Itโ€™s not an easy watch but worth another shot!
