OK having thought about it, my first theory based on S2E1 is this: They ended the show by making us think it was the innies choice to stay at Lumon and that they all made that choice. (and btw that choice is rational to me, not returning basically kills the innies . . which is wild) But the thing is, it's really not their choice. The outies can choose to not return to work. That's why the episode didn't include the outies. I think we're going to see a much different vibe with the outies, they may have demands, and a big question is do the innies and outies collaborate (find Mark's wife for example) or do they end up opposing each other?

This particular episode left so much suspicion, the show is in a critical scene rn the way they handle the explanation of his wife will either make it skyrocket or go downhill.

Yeah - season one was almost . . perfect? A *very* hard act to follow. I'm hoping for a season that (a) doesn't piss people off the way Lost used to and (b) leaves itself open to really delivering in Season 3. Sophomore slump is a real thing just has to be good enough for audiences . . .
