I have immense respect for blast. When it first came out ppl were upset about the lack of “tech innovation”. But the fact is they innovated on distribution, with referral, kol marketing, yield, etc. And the end result is >$1b in tvl. Devs now go there because of the tvl which makes it easy to get off the ground

One of the best GTM executed in the space to be looked backed on in coming years probably. Worth a write up and case study one day for the playbook used as representation of a place in time for crypto

The issue for me is that the WAY they got to the success is by encouraging the exact worst behavior for our space. People dumping that kind of money into a 0% trustless, custodial wallet (held by someone with no qualification to be a custodian) is the exact opposite of everything we're trying to build. 1/2

Putting money in can be a good expected value play for investors to get some juicy extra yield on top of Eth yield through the airdrop. But I look forward to the day they move on as fast as they came. That would be a great lesson that money aka AUM is not sticky itself.
