I have immense respect for blast. When it first came out ppl were upset about the lack of “tech innovation”. But the fact is they innovated on distribution, with referral, kol marketing, yield, etc. And the end result is >$1b in tvl. Devs now go there because of the tvl which makes it easy to get off the ground

The issue for me is that the WAY they got to the success is by encouraging the exact worst behavior for our space. People dumping that kind of money into a 0% trustless, custodial wallet (held by someone with no qualification to be a custodian) is the exact opposite of everything we're trying to build.

The rest of the space is busy trying to build things that secure your assets and protect you from needing to place trust in anyone, to encourage sovereingty, to encourage transparency, and these guys basically do the exact opposite, using FOMO to drive people to make irresponsible deposits.
