Going on a hair journey in 2025 (already started), any tips to help along the way?

I’ve been looking into minoxidil and finasteride but would love any general advice on growing your hair out, styling it, etc.

My hair has always been something that I’m self-conscious and OCD about, hoping to kick that next year

Started fin 2 months ago, no minox yet but considering. Diffuse thinning and receding temples is the problem i'm trying to solve. There's been some improvement, but right now in a shedding phase (internet tells me thats supposed to happen). 
Hopefully by next summer the results will start showing. 
No sides if you were wondering.

Oh and minoxidil is toxic to dogs/cats, and fin is toxic to expecting women. Important info that doesn't get shared often
