very interesting read. What I am taking away is that the Kubernetes design and concepts are world class. Gitpod taking them over to Gitpod Flex testifies that. Storage though is a challenge in K8s as is anything that requires horizontal scaling but can't really do it. (Dev Environments, Databases etc) regarding DB's cloudnativepg and others make it easier though. Storage though generally seems to be the most complex and slowest because of the potentially distributed nature. I remember @leewardbound going all out having fun with storage :D

This matches my experience with Kubernetes. It’s great for handling stateless workloads but running anything with state is a pain and needs to be carefully thought out.
