Netscape was released 30 years ago today. I remember when it dropped and how much of a quantum leap it was over Mosaic.

I spent the day at the Javascript coal face trying to resolve a hydration error with a React component. Using a framework that doesn't clearly delineate what Javascript is run at build time and what Javascript being run on the client is IMHO a recipe for disaster. There is always a fine line between genius and stupid. When your framework tries to be clever it usually ends up at the latter.

According to Apple Books I've read 57 books so far this year. A good mix of titles with only a third being re-reads. I think the end of year total will end up between 60-70. #books

Gutted to hear that Steve Albini died yesterday. While abrasive and a bit of an edgelord in his youth, he had morals, something absent in the music industry. While Nirvana is not one of my favorite groups, 'In Utero' is one of my favorite albums, solely down to Albini's production. We will not see his like again.
