It’s CRAZY to me that even the “nicer” furniture out there is just veneers on some cheaper solid wood core. Restoration Hardware has outlets full of this stuff because the 1/16” veneer is easy to damage leaving you with a big unrepairable piece. Real solid wood doesn’t do this!

I mostly buy from Room and Board. Solid wood made in the USA by real craftsman.

I have a number of pieces in my living room made of Mahogany with Natural Steel. I hope to pass these down for a few generations.
