there’s a clear lack of conversation around the channels stuff on farcaster. echo chambers are bad and we do a disservice to farcaster long term if we: - always agree 100% with what @dwr.eth says and does / dont hold people accountable - are afraid to speak out about things, specifically the larger accounts here

Bankless should have the channel “for the greater good” but they should have had to pay a premium. Squatters suck, but that’s part of an open free market no?

I think it would have been less justified had the squatter actually been using the channel and growing a community in it Instead, there was a single “placeholder” cast, and no other activity. No one feels aggrieved except for this one guy who thought that he could get $50k from us

If he had asked for a lifetime Bankless premium sub, would it have ended differently? I agree it would like it was bad faith, but isn’t this industry built on those that are know for being first?

Yep totally, no questions asked. We’ve actually made this very deal with @ktan to transfer the handle to us, for a free Bankless citizenship. /bankless owner was just being exploitative (transfer is still TBD - we’ve been busy)
