the network state as a concept describes an organization of people with a certain set of characteristics. I think most of those characteristics are met by universities.

I think that if one were committed to the creation of a new state, the structure of a university would be a possible (perhaps ideal) stepping stone.

If it’s a network state, it would likely start online so would this be a start up? Or do you think you can flip and existing?

Certainly possible that cities experiment with ways to host digital communities.

My point is just that the conditions for network-state are nearly satisfied by some existing forms of organization. And specific to universities... revolutions are the business of young people.

How about if a city enables an international community via local regulation to include network communities & providing access to local resources via web3 native tools?

Universities have been around for thousands of years though and so far, I don’t know any that metastasized into a state
