I think one of my more radical takes is that the thiel fellowship didn’t go far enough and someone (thiel, andreesen etc) should just build a Silicon Valley enmeshed high prestige credentialing option for college aged kids.

On reflection, kind of interesting the way that automation manages to eliminate network-based moats: Uber -> moat of drivers disappears in a world of autonomous cars. FB/Twitter -> moat of in-network content creators disappears in favor of algorithmic feed and eventually synthetic content.

Obvious but still useful observation imo: one of the primary reasons the iPhone created opportunity for developers was because it unlocked new blocks of time that users could spend in apps.
