> What is an unexpected, but important fact that you learned about managing a channel (or channel culture in general)? Two most important things about managing a channel I've learned are: 1) Set your expectations for what you want out of the channel before pursuing any other goals; and 2) you tend to get what you put in, in terms of growth. When people ask about growing on FC, most of time it's because they want to use this audience to shill their projects. But that's asking for a magic bullet; most people can't grow an audience just by creating an account & channel and casting a few things (well, some can, but these guys can prolly grow grass in a desert). FC is still small enough where just by showing up and not acting like an NPC, you can carve out your own space and be a part of conversations. So the best starting point is put yourself out there as an account first, understand in what ways you add the most value, if any, and then launch a channel around this (if you're genuinely interested).
