Ain't got shit to do with laziness, holy shit. Millions of users use third party apps. For the longest time there was no official app and these third party developers helped build this site's community. The official app is shit. This is an incredibly user hostile middle finger to everyone who helped make   what it is today. They are actively and proactively being massive fucking assholes to everyone right now, look at how they are responding to the criticism.
