In my entire personal network, I think I know only 1 person who actually lifts weights. Why is this? I wonder (1) what percentage of my friends regularly work out and don't talk about it and (2) what percentage of these people lift weights versus doing other stuff. I imagine it's (1) 50% and (2) 5-10%.

it's sad because barbell strength training is the single most effective thing most people can do to improve their health that and cutting sugar

yes strength training is also cardio--during sessions, your heart rate is high and it has more permanent advantages. for example, cardio burns calories once. building strength burns calories forever--your resting metabolic rate goes up with your muscle mass still good to do both
