Been using zed.dev for 2 days and I haven't yet switched back to neovim. Some kind of record, let's see if i last 2 weeks.

Really like the cursor ideas but I don’t love the platform (VSCode) and the team is cool but not yet experienced building editors. This being said I need to spend more time w it

I like cursor too much to want to try anything else right now

I find VSCode to be unbelievably busy and full of shit. Very much “windows” feel, just bloated visually and not snappy enough.

I like a few things:
- trust the founding team big team
- speed
- opinionated for common Lang’s out of the box
- great vim mode
- theme switching is nice

Is it just the speed you enjoy? What does it lack?

just downloaded. as an atom fan who begrudgingly switched to vscode, I'm loving the design. going to try a switch myself.

2 months for me from vscode - not going back

it's a little rough around the edges, but I switched to it fully since 2 weeks. I like it

And here I thought VSCode was the editor of choice. Trying this out.

I used vim for 15 years but now have successfully traded it in for cursor (with vim bindings)

I had a running joke about trying other editors

I used vim so long, the "imma let you finish" was actually topical when I said it

Been over a year using zed. Haven’t gone back since then. Welcome to the club.

Do you think it's realistic to last two weeks?

Neovim is ncurses tui editor, not comparable with multiplayer code editor like Zed  
that uses GPU accelerate.

What's the major difference between the 2 nicholas

Do we need to pay to use that too? I really haven't heard of zed.dev yet not until now
