In France, ADHD is not a medical issue thing. If your kid can’t focus it’s considered a parenting problem not a pill problem. Teach them how to read or do other deep work exercises. Everyone’s attention is a muscle, it’s not a condition if you cannot focus, it’s lack of discipline. Adderall fucks people up *american doctors diagnosed me with ADHD btw

yea mrs robot wanted to get the kiddo evaluated when they were younger. i said no way. docs will tell us they have adhd no matter what. years later, they are more than fine. still super active but in the gifted program.

Just a note: the article you’re referencing describes many alternatives to the ADHD diagnosis that have nothing to do with parenting, but are different medical diagnoses each with their own prognosis. So, while there are some behavioural tricks to learn, not really a parenting skill issue.
