I'm always surprised by 2 things:

1. Founders fundraising who don't use this format for their deck

2. Pre-Series B founders that don't send regular investor updates.

How much does the quality of the deck matter? 

To illustrate, which is better? 
Deck 1 — A+ content in all text and product screenshots
Deck 2 — masterfully designed, bells & whistles, B- content

It’s not even close. The only thing that matters is content and the narrative.
