How much does the quality of the deck matter? 

To illustrate, which is better? 
Deck 1 — A+ content in all text and product screenshots
Deck 2 — masterfully designed, bells & whistles, B- content

You can send 2 versions of the same update:
- Your largest investor with more sensitive details
- A broader investor update with the details removed

That said, I think secrecy is overrated vs. consistent execution.

Re investor updates: Any thoughts on best practices for these (ie, format, what to include, leave out, etc)? I have a good idea, but curious what others think.

Also, what to say to a founder who doesn't want to put the update in the body of an email because they're afraid it's too easy for someone to forward around?
