Also this is a chart designed to outrage… considering the upper limit is 25% so the <70y/o cohort making up the remaining 75-99% would tower over this figure. I agree old people need to sit down, but this may also be indicative of politicians aging out and the trend of life expectancy in general 🤷

I think term limits would be a much better way to solve this than having an age cap. Nobody would vote an 85 year old into office, but they would vote for one who's been in the senate for 6 terms to prevent the opposing party from gaining power.
