Some people are 10x more pleasant to work with than others. This is a really important thing to focus on: make people enjoy working with you, it creates win-wins all over the place.

I highly disagree with this - it cuts out many solid employees that maybe just don't fit into the current working culture, but are perfectly technically capableβfor example, autistic people range from high to low needs. Being one of them, I know that most people need to warm up to my "straightforwadness".
