3. How does it work? Base batches transactions off-chain via Optimistic Rollups, assuming they’re valid (hence "optimistic"). It submits compressed data to Ethereum L1 for final settlement. Fraud proofs ensure integrity, with a 7-day challenge period. Throughput? ~67% of all L2s (actually 30 Mgas/s) It's strong !

6. Centralization concerns Base is still a work in progress. Coinbase operates the sole sequencer, controlling tx ordering (MEV risks). No native token exists revenue goes to Coinbase, not a DAO. Plans for decentralization are in motion, but it’s not fully trustless yet.
