Recently I was ranting about how the center is a vague concept. People choose two metrics and two distances between those metrics and then create a vague center. Is it a dot at the middle point? Isn’t a massive chasm? Is it are center, right, and left equal sizes? And all this predicated on first accepting that the two opposing metrics are even adequate to compare (spoiler: they rarely are). So when Elon says this he’s playing into the postmodern worldview that anything anyone says is only as true or as false as you decide that it is. And after all, the AFD are less Nazi than Elon so it makes sense he thinks they’re centrist

My understanding 1. AfD is a minority party 2 I’ve not heard of any proposal to ban the party in Germany. They won seats in the last election and are currently serving In parliament.
