speaking as someone with experience launching social products that all had to shut down despite having 6 figure DAUs. seeing farcaster transform 2022β2025 and how the team is responding to feedback gives me confidence everything is moving in the right direction despite some minor setbacks (necessary to evolve)

Yea I canβt imagine building a social platform and being as available and engaging as Merkle is. You can never win. Networks take time to grow. Itβs never linear and it will come in huge waves based on usually unplanned events and mostly timing. People that are complaining about the lack of DAU just donβt understand that truly organic networks take 3-5 years after they have been βdiscoveredβ. FC is really like finishing year 1 of this cycle imo. I do think the cost of signup is something that no matter what will hamper true scaling, but i assume that will be solved in some way down the road.

Right now, from my western-biased perspective, itβs a horse race between FC and ATP. In the end, one will have the horse facts and the other one the fiction.
