What’s todays equivalent of being a kid and getting to play with computers in the 80, 90s?

i think minecraft and everything that surrounds it (private servers, communities, mods) is a gateway drug the same way tinkering with computers was. 

i think we’ve moved from hardware being the inaugural moment to software and the internet. doesn’t matter what device you use anymore, rather what you do with it.

add unlimited creativity and chat on discord to the mix and you have the beginning of some kids careers these days.
