I’m on a quest to get more people to use a .eth as their Farcaster username. If you don’t use your .eth as your username, why not and what would make you change your mind?

@pugson is simpler than @pugson.eth i also have pug.eth but it’s the same amount of characters as @pugson but more complex

that’s how you tag people in casts. the username is more relevant than the display name

Why not embolden that then In reality the display name is the most important, as like you say it's the first thing people see

idk that’s how most apps do it. display name is important in the context of a feed. username is important in the context of a single cast body.

many apps have m combined too like reddit ig tiktok youtube discord but yeah theres def advantages to it too, otherwise couldnt add .eth on twitter. just dont think that shortness is the reason that .eth isnt used as widely on farcaster(/generally in crypto)
