wish there was a way to link your fc account to github or something so i could follow real people who are just joining. it all seems like a stream of bots now — very hard to distinguish who’s not a spammer, farmer, or username flipper.

There's an increase in bots but still plenty of interesting new people. I'm bullish on the GitHub idea.

This period is going to be so material. The username flippers will pass once the hype of a new mainnet move passes. I’m a lot more anxious about the spammers. At the start atleast, we’re all going to have to keep reporting.

You can get this automatically with NextID (https://docs.next.id/). Rather than making the user connect github to every service they use, show the connections they’ve already made. Then rank the feed with accounts with more connections and deeper engagement across those connections.
