First time ever in my life having five figures in the bank. First time in my life I'll just put money in savings and not touch it. First time in my life I can pay every bill and debt. First time able to make a college fund for my teenager and a medical trust fund for my baby.
If you grew up in working class houses and worked your ass off like I did you could probably understand I'm crying right now. I had to step out from work and take a walk when that deposit hit.

one of my personal "never had money then suddenly i did" regrets or like lessons is: 

build up an emergency fund

just put aside a few thousand, try to forget about it. Will or hopefully will not for a long time and then will come in handy

Yeah it's good advice. 1/3 goes to tax fund, 1/3 to various savings accounts, 1/3 for current bills, wants and needs. Haven't spent a penny yet :)
May not sound super exciting but it is for me, it means I'm free to play with crypto for fun now rather than to cover budget gaps and emergencies.

no dude, I get it. Both Jack and I have student loans, we are not whales. I forget your exact numbers but i know its a meaningful amount and I'm glad you're approaching it thoughtfully
