I think its the wrong take, but I don't think its unreasonable - it makes a lot of sense if you're making this decision based on a totally financialized bildungsroman (lmao, someone stop me) 

I'm more of a humanist or idealist, college is a process of learning & socialization of immense value for those who apply themselves 

generally believe that broad 'intelligence' matters more than ever in a post-singularity world - optimizing for a 'career' path in the traditional sense will become obsolete

liberal arts kids will rise

typically, when something becomes common sense enough to get featured in a lot of pre-roll youtube ads for coaching guys like "college is dumb, heres why you should drop out"  I tend to think its bullshit

plenty wrong with american university & college systems though, hope many things will change by the time my kids are attending

in the US liberal arts kids refer to kids who go to a liberal arts college - im speaking generally, my larger point is reducing college to a purely 'professional development' process is wrong
