its wrong to think of our speculative markets as a hot ball of money that you can squat on, rent seek, and direct the $ towards whatever noble thing you care about when I see certain meta pitches or narratives, sometimes the pitch falls a bit flat because they sort of admonish traders but also depend on their participation to succeed its why I don't think the "slap a pumpfun fun on 'er" model is at all interesting, its why we're beginning to provide highly differentiated options for interfaces to provide creators with tools they need to succeed (v3.1 + v4 both, soon) for demand & volume to flow towards something it must flow from someone, some body of users, some network of interest 1/2

I know the intentions are often good, but we seem comfortable talking about supporting creators, but uncomfortable engaging with certain facts of the active market we have, and thats a mistake. glanker / empire builder crew is cool to me because they are showing up for their users (creators) and providing them resources to succeed. they're doing it in a way that has positive externalities for traders, too. and that is the correct impulse imo 2/2

You had me at hello 😭 🫂 Honestly... it isn't a simple thing, but that's also why it's an important thing. There are multiple stake holders involved in this. But the tendency for companies to structure in predatory and parasitic ways is ultimately narrow minded and cannibalistic. Will we always get it right? No. That's not possible. But what we can all do, collectively, together, with those who resonate with the purpose/mission, is keep stumbling forward. Even if it's 2 steps forward, 1 back, repeat. I climbed a volcano in Guatemala when I was 23. Nearing the top you'd slide back around 60-70% of every step up you took. So you keep going. And that's how you get to where you're going. Together. Tangent ended but... keeping on building. Because I want my frens and family to be able to benefit from what CAN be possible here.
