Had a nice long swim yesterday afternoon and thought about stuff I’ve learned building on FC this year (context: bootstrapped, nontechnical founder) - building clarifies - have found conflicts between following conventional wisdom & pursuing my own conviction. Balance! - difficult (or personally stressful) part has been figuring out how to compensate devs & pay for operational costs. Short runway = more pressure, no salary = higher stakes - talking users, listening & noting down all good feedback, even when I don’t have the resources to fix immediately, its made my eye better - part of my job has been learning technical stuff, and that’s expanded how I think about the product & and what I want to build next Over all, been incredibly fun, challenging, and I’ve grown from it. Grateful for the opportunity to grow in prod Social Dex beta launches this week!
