surprised how often i still hear “but why will they have value?” when suggesting token designs that are on the memetic side of the spectrum 

there are many different ways to create tokens people want, and making one that just feels good to own because of the belief system that it represents is a very valid and fundamentally important one

people believe in the fact that it feels good to hold a token that goes up in value

they carry that belief with them from token to token, rapidly cycling through shells of memes and narratives

but identification is nonetheless a valid, extremely powerful thing
