re the "party of the rich" data point: dem move to the center-right and republicans sticking to bush era positions in places has meant some interesting action around stuff like minimum wage or paid sick leave. We're seeing states where Trump won handily - Missouri, Alaska, Nebraska - also passing referendums on paid sick leave + minimum wage! Trump avoiding classic conservative issues like cutting social security is a another good example of ways that both parties have shifted. share of youth vote feels more meaningful than the wealth data, given exit polling reliability. fascinating numbers, the Trump impact on national politics will be with us for many years
