After several months of explicitly seeking something to work on, I am “working on” simply nurturing my curiosity.

I now have a contract job that is not too demanding, and while I know it won’t be long-term sustainable, what I really need right now is not “the next thing” but space for my soul to breathe and wander.

I am excited to spend this holiday season reading and exploring. When something starts to feel like work more than play, I’ll gently step back.

"space for my soul to breath and wander" is sort of how I found myself joining farcaster. I stopped applying to jobs, decided to just do something I wanted to, and made myself promise to start something and commit

I love it, writing is fundamentally an act of communication

you can define it more generally and I think that "first draft" will continue to meaningfully communicate that this is about process, not product

btw this type of response is pushing me toward making /firstdraft about “sharing”, not “writing”

how does that feel to you? I’m thinking it’s more accessible, lower pressure, more communal

don't see you being happy as an unfortunate thing, regardless of which scenery you're taking in!

Same, I was in a super different mindset when I discovered FC (two years ago now!)

Unfortunately will probably be stepping back from consuming here – hopefully still sharing, just less plugged in since I need a change of scenery
