When I read LOTR as a kid, I couldn't stand the scene descriptions that ran for multiple pages. Drove me mad, didn't understand what it was there for. Many years later I discovered I have aphantasia, no wonder I hated it.

Oh my wording there was awkward... I love the story, hated the multi-page scene descriptions due to my aphantasia (inability to form real world images in my mind)

Haven't read that one yet.. Last one I did was the Witcher Series after I watched the Netflix series... Those are really good too but shorter, nice to have it done in like 300-400 pages lol

Played the first game, loved it... just don't have the time for reading like in my youth. And I keep putting off watching the Netflix series because I want to savor it with my full attention but I never end up watching it as a result 🤣
