The kindness on FC is underrated. So much so that other places on the Internet now feel absurdly hostile. 
Honestly the wisest thing to do are more meetups, conferences and aligning interests for cohesion. It just makes no sense to create an anon-community of bitter no-skin-in-the-game haves.

e.g. they criticized Google for using a PC language guide as censorship and I‘m like duh, you obviously don‘t want Google employees to publish offensively-worded products. It‘s bad for business.
