One reason why I don’t cast enough is that the warpcast app UX to write casts is still pretty bad TBH.
One accidental swipe down on iOS, and your draft is gone. No warning, no backup, just lost.

And I’ve to awkwardly cast one thing at a time, I can’t compose a thread before casting it.

I’m not a big threadoor, but if I’m sharing alpha I need a place to dump links with explanations of what to look at, not just write a single fortune cookie cast…

Funny enough warpcast does have a “restore draft” function, but it only works in thread replies for me, I don’t see an option to restore original casts

And the longer the cast + link preview, or the smaller the editing space, the easier it is to make the accidental swipe, since the swiping gesture grabs on to the content that’s there so far. So if I’ve a nearly empty cast, it’s hard to swipe away. But if I’ve a long one, it’s very easily lost.

@warpcast @dwr.eth here’s some warpcast UX feedback. I’d like to cast more frequently, but it’s still kind of painful. Reader UX is pretty good (easy to lurk many categorized topics), but writer UX can be improved.

Want to hide the keyboard to read your draft before sending? Cast gone… nevermind posting it

So the “restore draft” feature only triggers when you start typing again. 

I’ll send you a vid on slack since Warpcaster does not support vids yet 

I do think a “drafts” button would help a lot though and agree with you on threads 

There’s many more clients that will be built so UX is bound to improve

Good points, have experienced this issue. Also have found photo uploading to be janky
