This might be a stupid question, but it’s one I’ve been thinking about a lot. Do I actually own my Warpcast channels? If I wanted to specify channel ownership in a will, could I? Would it just belong to the beneficiary of my estate as long as they could access my account?

The fact that Warpcast refers to you has a ‘host’ of a channel that pays a fee, I am confident the answer to your question is no you are not the owner and cannot transfer it - you host a specific part of your feed.

Yea, I found them. Dan definitely refers to them as channel owners now. https://warpcast.com/dwr.eth/0x8d92a20e

Yeah was aware of this plan but am a bit confused about where we are on it and what has and has not been implemented. You know what would make an awesome post is asking these questions of their legal team, getting clarification and breaking it down for people! It is super hard to navigate to the terms and conditions but the ones I can find are from 2022. Maybe they are the most recent?

Yeah, that's what I was kind of hoping to do here was at least get some clarification. Not that I am thinking about leaving my channel behind in a will or something, but I think it's important to know these things, especially as more channels are trying to become businesses.

It absolutely is important, I agree and helpful for users to understand and in the way they think about their content and time here. Maybe there are lawyers in Success who could help produce a short Medium article or similar? There is an email on the terms of use I found that might be a good start for getting an answer and confirmation - [email protected]

@wake clarified that channels haven't been decentralized yet, but it's coming soon. I'm going to read up on the whole plan as I haven't ever actually done that.
