1/ Let’s Talk About Expectations in the DEGEN Community

As we continue building DEGEN together, I think it’s important to address something fundamental: what we should expect from one another.

Right now, DEGEN is one of the only platforms where someone can earn hundreds of dollars with almost no authentic engagement—just by reposting low-effort or spammy content. Platforms like Google Ads or Twitter would never allow that kind of behavior to be monetized, and it raises an important question for us as a community: why should we?

I fundamentally disagree. How can anyone earn hundreds of dollars in degen with no authentic engagement, spam or by reposting? The problem is farming - attack farmers not people engaging. If people are ‘spammy’, mute, ignore, whatever, they are not extracting value. Farmers are
